Steps
- Choose the document type. Passport, ID card, bank statement, and so on. Each type has its own checks and its own expected fields, so this is what tells Periscope what to look for.
- Check the result panel. Before you upload anything, it lists the fields Periscope will look for on that document type, so you know what a full result should contain.
- Add the document. Drag it anywhere on the page, or click to browse. Periscope accepts JPG, PNG, or PDF.
- Press Verify.
- Watch the checks run. Three checks run in sequence, each shown as it starts and finishes.
- Read the result. Periscope shows the fields it found, a confidence score, and the evidence behind that score: what matched, what was missing, and what looked off.
Two things to know
An ID card or any other two-sided document needs both sides: Periscope asks for a front and a back, and checks them together.
If you are not sure what a document is, choose Not sure? Identify it for me. Periscope looks at the file and tells you what it appears to be, so you can pick the right type and run the check properly.
